Ars Caelum was created in 2011 unconsciously as an ambient music experiment after the first tracks 'Perfecta Luz' and 'Región Turbulenta'. It takes music from nature, accepting every free combination of sounds to create original music, maybe without melody or harmony but always conserving the playful level between sounds, (natural or electronic). It is influenced by those natural soundscapes that seems to be composed by a musical genius. Storms, rivers, flora and fauna give Ars Caelum a natural touch for its constant search. Each song is an unique idea with a clear objective

This is kind of a monolithic album imho, yet somehow it's OSJC's most approachable album (that I've heard so far, I guess). I say that as a person who initially balked at the runtimes - I'm a "brevity is the soul of wit" kinda guy. That said, these jams are absolutely first-class. You do not feel the length at all, they're more like soundtracks to an inner movie. Soft Velvet Underbelly makes me wish I still played Elite: Dangerous, so I could commit space piracy to it. Has a great coda, too.

What a band, worth every penny and minutes of your time to listen, they vary form track to track, yet keep the underlying feel of a hippy 60/70's sound, at least that's how I hear it, from the funky plucks to the expansive guitars, they weave a lush filled sound, an experience to be sure. Be smiley. Tbesla. ☺
